Regulatory Lead, Aotearoa Clinical Trials, Auckland, NZ
Tanya is the Regulatory Lead at Aotearoa Clinical Trials. She is passionate about Aotearoa’s representation in, and access to, medical advances and believes that clinical trials are a key element. As science translates into treatments, the safety and efficacy of new therapies is only known for the participant population.
With over a decade of experience in clinical trials, she first honed her scientific skills investigating brain development after preterm birth in centres across New Zealand, Australia, North America and the United Kingdom. Tanya then applied her subject matter expertise to global commercial trials as a Biomarker Scientist at IXICO Technologies before returning to New Zealand in 2024. |
No-Fault Clinical Trials Insurance
Participants in commercial clinical trials are not covered by ACC if something goes wrong. Sponsor’s indemnity insurance must include injury compensation but when things go very wrong, participants in clinical trials can be left in a gap without support. We present a solution through a no-fault clinical trial insurance which is held by the site, mirrors ACC, and is all handled in New Zealand.
