Research Professor Rachael Taylor (FRSNZ) holds the Karitane Chair in Early Childhood Obesity and is Director of the Edgar Diabetes and Obesity Research Centre based at the University of Otago. She is also National Contact Point for Cluster 1: Health for Horizon Europe via secondment to MBIE in this role.

Horizon Europe - What Opportunities are there for Clinical Research? 

New Zealand now has access to enormous funding opportunities (NZ$92 billion) via Horizon Europe since they became an associated country two years ago. Rachael will outline how Horizon Europe works, where to find suitable calls, and how to make connections and collaborations. With a success rate of over 20% to date, NZers are doing very well with Horizon - but there is plenty more scope for more to be involved.
