Claire is a Certified Practicing Accountant, Tax Director of Acclime New Zealand, a former Associate Director with EY with experience in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom.
 

• Claire started her tax career in the UK and since migrating to NZ has enjoyed over 20 years corporate tax experience, including a 2-year secondment to Australia
• Prior to joining Acclime, Claire worked at EY (Auckland Wellington, Sydney, Leicester, Nottingham, London), Baker Tilly (Auckland) and the UK Customs Service.
• Claire is a CPA member and holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB Hons) as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Studies from Birmingham City University
• Claire’s specialties include tax due diligence and the commercial tax management of financial arrangements, land transactions, GST, charity tax and compliance, international tax, structure consulting, tax effect accounting, IRD liaison and dispute management across a number of industry sectors, including; R&D, financial services, property, retirement villages, food and beverage, dairy, agribusiness and retail
